Durham is a lively and interesting city.  Coming here from another country to live and study has many benefits, but can also be quite daunting.  If this is you, we would like to welcome you to Durham and to Christchurch!

We also encourage students to go along to iFocus, a weekly Bible study group for internationals on Tuesday nights.  iFocus is for everyone - whether you are a committed Christian, or just investigating Christianity for the first time.  The Bible studies are a great opportunity to make friends, to practice speaking English, and to find out more about Jesus and His claims.  iFocus meets every Tuesday, from 7-8:30pm in the Bailey Rooms. iFocus also runs regular socials throughout the term, as an opportunity to get to know one another better, and to learn more of British culture!  Last term they enjoyed meals with English families, they visitied Hadrian's Wall, and went for a lovely winter walk at Gibside Chapel! 

We are a church that meets in the centre of Durham for people from all over the world.  We hope you will quickly feel at home amongst us.  The majority of our international students attend the 6pm congregation, which meets on Sundays in the Bailey Rooms.  For further infomation about what goes on for international students at Christchurch Durham please contact our international student worker Andy Palmer.
