How can we Worship the Holy God?

Introduction: ‘Come just as you are to Worship’?

1) The awesome requirements for acceptable worship

Worship rejected because of the worshiper

Gen 4:3–5, 6–8, 16; Amos 5:21–24; Mal 2:13–14

The Necessity of ritual purity

  • ‘Holy – Clean – Unclean – Abominable’

  • The consequences of worshiping while unclean

  • The impossibility of avoiding uncleanness

The necessity of moral perfection

  • God sees through empty religious rituals
