One of our key aims at Christchurch is to support parents effectively in raising their children to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ and we see our Sunday morning service as a key opportunity to do that.
We start our 10am church meeting all together and try to engage the children with a children's slot or a song before they head to their groups.
A fully supervised creche for children under 3 runs alongside our morning church meeting. There are loads of toys and a separate baby corner. There are songs, stories and activities for the older children. Nursing mothers are more than welcome to stay and feed their children.
Climbers is our group for ages 3 to the end of Reception, Adventurers is for school years 1-3, and Explorers for school years 4-6. Pathfinders is for school years 7-9. Each group is looked after by leaders and they look at the Bible in a child-friendly and relevant way. We usually end our group times with a craft or activity that the children can take home that will be linked to the day’s Bible story.
Children are supervised throughout by leaders who have been trained and DBS checked in accordance with our safeguarding policy.
